Dear Kids For Kids friends,

It has been a while since we sent the Newsletter.  We were busy trying to find a partner to host the 2008 Kids For Kids Festival. We had many interested partners, however, with the world financial crisis, none of these projects were successful in their application.

So, we decided to change the format of the festival for this year, and to give a chance to all the wonderful films sent to us. Next week, in Montreal, a jury of professionals will choose the winners in each category.

The DVD compilation with ALL the films selected for the Official Competition will then be sent to the young filmmakers of these films.  They will then be able to vote for their favourite film in each category. This way, awards will be given by both professional, and youth jury.

This year again, the pre-selection process was not an easy task. We received more than 500 films from all over the world, and had to narrow it down to 48 titles.  Here are the selected films for the official competition of the KIDS FOR KIDS FESTIVAL 2008:
